If SpyHunter is blocking some or all of your applications, it is most likely that you have added legitimate applications to SpyHunter's Process Guard and/or Registry Guard lists of blocked items.

The Process Guard and the Registry Guard need to learn the operation of your computer in order to fully protect you against future infections. If you block an action from a legitimate application using the Process Guard and the Registry Guard, the legitimate application will stop working.

The Process Guard and the Registry Guard must learn all the legitimate applications present in your system. When an application program is executed in your system, it usually requires several different process and registry calls for that application to launch. SpyHunter will pop up a message for every process and registry call and ask you if you want to block it.

Therefore, you need to answer all the questions carefully to avoid blocking items incorrectly. When you answer a question from the Process Guard or the Registry Guard, SpyHunter will record that action and it will no longer ask you the same question again.

If you're not sure whether you should allow or block a process, please look at the manufacture of the file trying to be executed. If the file belongs to a well known company such as Microsoft, Google, Symantec, McAfee, Apple and etc., you can allow the process to be executed with confidence. If you notice the file does not have a specified manufacture, we highly recommend you to block that application.

If you block an action and one of your programs stops working, you can always use the instructions below to remove them from the Process Guard and Registry Guard blocked list.

How to Remove Legitimate Applications from SpyHunter's Blocked List

Please follow the instructions below to remove legitimate applications from SpyHunter's Process Guard and Registry Guard blocked list:

To remove items from Process Guard's "Blocked Items" list, follow the instructions below:

  1. Open "SpyHunter."
  2. Click the "Process Guard" tab, which is located on the left side menu of SpyHunter.
  3. Locate the "Blocked Items" box.
  4. Select all the applications from the "Blocked" and click on the green arrow button to move all the selected applications to the "Allowed" list. Make sure all the applications are moved from the "Blocked" to the "Allowed"list.

To remove items from Registry Guard's "Blocked Items" list, follow the instructions below:

  1. Open "SpyHunter."
  2. Click the "Registry Guard" tab, which is located on the left side menu of SpyHunter.
  3. Locate the "Blocked Items" box.
  4. Select all the applications from the "Blocked" and click on the green arrow button to move all the selected applications to the "Allowed" list. Make sure all the applications are moved from the "Blocked" to the "Allowed"list.

Now you should be able to access all your legitimate applications normally.

If you do not wish to use the Process Guard and Registry Guard, you can disable them by unchecking the "Activate Process Guard" box for the Process Guard and/or unchecking the "Activate Registry Guard" box for the Registry Guard.

We must warn you that by disabling the Process Guard and the Registry Guard, your system will not be taking advantage of SpyHunter's full security protection capabilities and you are also increasing the risk of a malware infection your computer may be exposed to.

If you need to completely shut down SpyHunter, locate the "SpyHunter" icon next to the system clock (found on the bottom right side of your Desktop), then right-click the "SpyHunter" icon and select "Exit".
